We will cover common sustainability topics and dive into specifics by examining business cases, supplier selection processes, impact measurement, and the ongoing management of these initiatives. This session will also help identify the requirements that sustainability initiatives place on specific warehouses and their personnel.
 
A sustainable warehouse refers to all operations within the warehouse as well as the outbound transportation that connects it to the broader supply chain. This includes:

• In-Warehouse Operations: Energy consumption, waste management, inventory management, packaging, water usage, forklifts usage, etc.
• Outbound Transportation/Logistics: Emissions from vehicles (trucks and delivery vehicles), route optimization, use of low-emission or electric vehicles.

The sustainable approach encompasses the entire lifecycle of warehouse operations, from receipt of materials to the distribution of goods.
